m-Learning is a EU financed project within the 5th Framework Programme, managed by a consortium of Italian, English and Sweden research organisations.

The project has lead to the development of a platform for the delivery, through any type of mobile devices (cellular phones, Pocket PC, palm phones, etc.), of didactic micro-modules on behalf of most European citizens’ use and accessibility. The whole m-learning’s architecture is based on the IWT platform.

For the m-learning experimentation it has been promoted a significant social initiative getting involved many schools and education institutions in England, Wales, Sweden and, of course, Italy where, thanks to the ONG Mentoring and Altradefinizione of Naples, mainly young people with problems of literacy shortage and social and work insertion have been considered.
